Lee Ching-Hui graduated from the Graduate Institute of Sound and Image Studies in Documentary, Tainan, National College of the Arts. She has been an independent filmmaker since 1996. Her works conveys a strong social awareness which demonstrates Lee's emphasis on gender and community issues. Her films are often praised to show female resilience and strength. She is currently a lecturer in Visual Communication department of Dayeh University. Her films have won numerous awards in film festivals in Taiwan and other countries.
