The Eyes of Nan-Guang Deng
南光的眼睛
Deng Nan-Guang was one of the most important photographers in Taiwan at 1930s. This film is talking about his pictures and his home town, Bei-Pu where he loved the most. It has been four decades, after Deng Nan Guang passed away. The small town changed a lot. The director imitated the eye sight of Deng Nan Guang and observed the people, the farm, and the ritual, made the documentary a poetic essay.

Tsao Wen-Chieh
Born in 1963, TSAO received her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Cultural University, and her Master Degree in Psychology from Fu Jen Catholic University. Since 1986, she has devoted herself to film making and directing TV programs, and has directed and produced a number of prize winning documentary films. Her “Please Come Home, My Boy” won the Second prize at the 1998 1st TIDF, “Master V.S. Master” won the prize of New York Film Festival. “A Random Life” granted the First Local Cultural Video Prize of Council for Cultural Affairs and selected for Margaret Mead Film Festival, New York. Her films have been shown in conferences and film festivals world-wide.
